About this role

Okta is looking for an exceptional Creative Lead to manage and lead Presentation Design. This is a role for a unique, inspiring creative that has a passion for storytelling and design, helping our organization and executive leadership team communicate at their best. This role requires experience, ability and drive to manage multiple projects and creative teams and work seamlessly with cross-functional leaders across the company. This role requires a strong presentation design background and hyper focus and understanding of all things design. 

 

What you will do

• Partner closely with Okta’s executive leadership team and comms leads to understand needs and help to guide and build strong presentation narratives through content and design
• Onboard and manage creative agencies specializing in presentation design to help with high-volume moments in the MKTG calendar such as major events
• Maintain and evolve our branded company wide presentation system
• Help to evolve the visual language of the Okta brand through presentation design; ensure the consistency of the brand and highest quality of design across all projects
• Create, concept, inspire others; help to execute the work while bringing design and branding ideas to life
• Keen understanding and passion to learn about and share insights on design and industry trends
• Help to simplify and translate complex ideas through effective storytelling and design; clear understanding of storytelling principles and ability to build a strong visual narrative
• Can deliver direct and inspired feedback to the team and agency partners
• Must be a self starter while being comfortable guiding teams, freelancers, agencies, and production partners

 

What experience you have

• BA or BFA in Art/Design
• Extraordinary design skills
• World-class portfolio of work
• Expert knowledge of creative process and all digital creative software tools; highly proficient in PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides
• 10+ years experience in art direction and design in a creative agency or client-side group; experience working with B2B / technology brands is a plus
• 5+ years experience leading and managing a team in a creative agency or internal creative group; global experience is a plus
• 8+ years experience in presentation design for a creative agency or internal creative group
• Hands-on expertise in developing creative presentation solutions across key marketing programs, e.g. events, internal comms, etc.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
