Job Description

ISN is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supervisor/Senior Accountant to join our team in support of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) contract. This role requires a strong understanding of pension accounting,experience with audit cycles, and leadership skills to oversee accounting operations related to pension benefits.

Key Responsibility: provide the PBGC's Financial Operations Department/Collection and Compliance Division with professional services in support of it's premium operations programs including technical, financial accounting and auditing support.

Qualifications

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate is required.  
• Proficiency in Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and/or Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB) financial reporting. 
• **Previous experience with PBGC (Pension Benefit Guaranty Corportation) is preferred

Experience: 

• A minimum of five years of experience in general ledger accounting related to invoicing, cash, refunds, unearned and earned revenue, bad debt expense and allowance, and receivable management.
• A minimum of three years' experience in managing and executing accounting period close procedures.
• A minimum of three annual audit cycle experience performing financial statement audits.
• Desired but not required is demonstrated experience preparing audit deliverables and workpapers with supporting documentation for several internal control audit cycles.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business
