Independent Living Ambassador

Overview

The Independent Living Ambassador will support Wellness partners in their role serving Independent Living Residents as well as assist with issues or concerns and resolving problems. 

This position is Full-Time 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Interact with residents and families in a patient, professional and responsive manner
• Resolve customer service concerns of Residents
• Provide Residents and family with community resource information as needed
• Trouble shoot issues for wellness providers serving Residents; ensure providers are responding appropriately and providing reporting to multi-disciplinary team
• Assist Residents and families with issues and concerns and refer back to IL Director or Resource Coordinator
• Assist with scheduling issues regarding schedule
• Must work effectively with medical professionals and paraprofessionals as well as older adults and their families to resolve problems and/or seek solutions
• Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team for care planning and problem resolution

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education:  CNA/STNA Certification
• Licensure/Certification: Must have a current Ohio Driver’s License and be able to drive own vehicle
• Experience: Supervisory experience; at least one to two years’ experience in a senior living, healthcare or community-based services environment required; ability to work with a diverse population of residents, families and partners; capacity to work independently and prioritize and multi-task job responsibilities; critical thinking skills and excellent communication skills
