Job Description

Join our team as a Raw Materials Technician, where you’ll work in a cleanroom environment to dispense, inspect, and handle raw materials for biopharmaceutical production. This entry-level role supports quality control by managing samples, performing basic testing, and maintaining lab compliance with GMP standards. It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a regulated lab setting with opportunities for cross-training and growth.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Operate in a cleanroom environment to dispense raw materials and inspect containers for quality and accuracy
  • Receive, handle, and properly dispose of laboratory samples
  • Calibrate or verify calibration of instruments and devices prior to use
  • Record test results with precision and promptly report any quality deviations
  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and ensure cleanliness through routine housekeeping tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external clients
  • Participate in all required training sessions and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
  • May be cross-trained to assist with sampling and testing of compressed gas systems and gas tankers

This position is an indoor lab-based position working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:

  • No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans, tinted moisturizer, etc) are permitted and must be removed before entry
  • Nails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)
  • No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)
  • Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field, or equivalent directly relevant experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Strong ability to learn new techniques, multitask, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable in a moderately physical role requiring extended periods of standing
  • Proficient in computer use and well-organized in managing tasks and documentation
  • Committed to fostering a transparent, collaborative, and respectful work environment
  • Prior experience in a GMP, biopharmaceutical, or regulated industry setting
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
