What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Collaborate to effectively implementing long term cost control strategies to fit specific strategic supply partnerships or commodities.
Support assigned vendors/suppliers with Toro requirements on business compliance and regulations (Country of Origin, CTPAT, EDI, NAFTA, RoHS etc.)
Escalate expedites at appropriate level track progress on expedites and communicate progress to operations.
Understand the products manufactured in terms of volume, nature of demand, seasonality, product composition, long lead-time items, suppliers and their locations, transportation time/cost of supplied components etc.
Collaborate with material planners/schedulers to manage material flow, schedule changes, inventory reduction, line-side presentation, and returnable packaging.
Track key suppliers for any issues that may affect their ability to supply product (i.e. negotiating a new labor contract).

What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate technical or business-related field
At least one (1) year of manufacturing purchasing experience
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, Experience with SAP is a plus
Machining and Metal background is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Exhibit a professional, self-confident image
Strong mathematics and numeric analysis skills
Willingness to travel up to 15% of total time, with ability to operate a vehicle
Other Job-Related Components: (e.g., Physical demands, working conditions, travel)
Extended use of a personal computer
Office environment as it pertains to lighting, temperature, and noise level with occasional trips to manufacturing lines.
Rapidly changing workloads and priorities, frequently with multiple requests from a variety of supervisors and managers
