The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California is $17.00 to $17.50 hourly.  The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. 

Responsibilities:

• Promptly respond to potential resident incidents and provide necessary interaction and redirection as may be necessary. 
• Participate in resident activities, as directed. 
• Respond to resident’s behavior and communicate with cognitively impaired residents appropriately. 
• Assist resident to attend activity programs. 
• Maintain resident’s environment in a safe, clean and orderly manner. 
• Practice safety procedures of the facility. 
• Promptly report any unusual behavior changes, or change in a resident’s condition to the Charge Nurse/designee for prompt and immediate interventions 
• Perform other duties as may be assigned under the scope of being a hallway monitor 
• Wear Yellow/Green Vests while on duty as an identifier of his/her role 
• Endorse Hallway Monitor Binder, vest and make rounds with the oncoming monitoring aide and monitor reliever during break. 
• Constant rounding inside the facility vicinity as a monitor

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 
• Ability to read, speak and understand English, follow directions and complete assigned responsibilities. 
• Maintain a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance. 
• Dependability.
