As a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering Intern, you will join our fast-moving Robotics Hardware team working on collaborative mobile robotics in the warehouse automation space. Working with our engineers, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and testing of mobile robots, gaining invaluable experience in both mechanical and mechatronic systems.

As a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering Intern, you will join our fast-moving Robotics Hardware team working on collaborative mobile robotics in the warehouse automation space. Working with our engineers, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and testing of mobile robots, gaining invaluable experience in both mechanical and mechatronic systems.
Role responsibilities:
- Concept design & building prototypes for mechanical or electromechanical systems
- Design of experiments and test fixtures for validation and reliability
- Conduct tests and simulations to analyze robot performance
- Provide support in assembly builds and troubleshooting robot systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electrical, and hardware engineers to bring robotic solutions to life
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s level program in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Robotics Engineering at junior level or higher
- Hands-on experience with design, prototyping, fabrication, and assembly
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, including technical analysis, hand-calculations, free-body diagrams
- CAD experience - Solidworks preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with clear and detailed documentation
- Proficient using: Google Workspace (Gmail, Google docs, sheets), Windows Operating System and Team communication tools such as Slack
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with robots or electro-mechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes
- Portfolio of previous mechanical/mechatronics projects
