About the team
Roku believes all TV will be streamed. Our job is to make it easier for users to find great content. The most powerful tool we have today is The Roku Channel (TRC), which has quickly become a leading streaming app for free, live, and subscription-based premium content. Whether you are in your living room, on your mobile, or at your desktop, TRC has an always-changing selection of Hollywood hits, classics, live news, hit TV shows and family programs to keep you entertained. Roku made streaming possible and The Roku Channel is changing the way we watch it.
The Content organization focuses on expanding the scale, reach and content offering of TRC through partnerships with over 175 different content providers. In 2021, we launched Roku Originals, Roku Brand Studio, and acquired This Old House to enable new ways to provide our users with great content. In addition to TRC, we also build new experiences and tools that help users find content across the Roku UI, like Featured Free and Roku Sports Channel. Our Roku Sports initiative includes partnerships with top leagues, curation of content through zones, and sports originals. We collaborate across many teams to deliver great content, drive engagement, and delight millions of TV streamers worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager in Alternative, Branded and Sports Production to help manage the day-to-day oversight of physical production of original content for The Roku Channel. A member of the Content team, the Production Manager will be responsible for liaising cross-functionally with all appropriate departments to ensure a successful launch on platform and supporting/suggesting best practices from pre-production through delivery.

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $140,000 - $200,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you’ll be doing
- Strong communication and cross-functional skills, with the ability to engage, listen, and collaborate with internal stakeholders/teams (Creative, Post Production, Finance, Business and Legal Affairs, and Marketing) to ensure all parties receive necessary production information in a timely manner and align on strategy from greenlight through final delivery.
- Track and manage all show related costs, and production timelines; keeping stakeholders apprised of status and any issues that may arise and communicate any and all changes to both internally and externally.
- Work with external partners including Showrunners, EICs, and Line Producers to prepare and vet show budgets and schedules, providing feedback on viability and risks.
- Travel to set when necessary to evaluate work-flow, budgets and potential problems.
- Work with Production Finance to evaluate and track over/under via cost reports.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering outstanding results.
