About the role

Job Description Summary

The Gen IV I&C Technical Leader will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, development and resource management of a technical team of engineers supporting GEH Nuclear. In addition, you will manage complex issues within the functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall engineering strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Have ownership and accountability for plant I&C systems from conceptual through final design for and site installation, requirements management, licensing, change control and engineering activities.
  • Be responsible for the coordination associated I&C Design efforts, be responsible for oversight of the product technology decisions and be the escalation point and oversight for technical issue resolution.
  • Have accountability for delivering products and services on-time and on-budget.
  • Be responsible for team resource planning and project/program assignments

  • Work collaboratively across the engineering matrix and with business leaders in Product Development, Project Delivery, Sourcing and Quality to ensure close coordination of technical inputs/outputs, project/product requirements, workforce planning/scheduling and risk management.
  • Act as a technical liaise with customers, partner organizations and suppliers as necessary and in close partnership/coordination with Product Development and Project Delivery leaders.
  • Partner with business teams and presents product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leads across GEH.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a technology or engineering role.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands on I&C design experience.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Relocation to Wilmington, NC is required.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Desired Qualifications

  • Able and willing to take ownership and responsibility for work scoping, deliverables planning, prioritizing, scheduling, budgeting, action tracking, monitoring, corrective actions, reporting, etc.
  • Experience in nuclear analog and digital instrumentation, control and monitoring with detailed knowledge in safety-related systems, hardware, software, theory of operation, equipment environmental, seismic qualification (EQ) testing and field services or plant start-ups.
  • Experience in DCS deployment and support engineering.
  • Experience with industry standards (IEEE, IEC, etc.).
  • Strong Leadership Skills.
  • Prior Experience working in Matrix environment.
  • Clear thinker, detail oriented, insightful, quantitative, results oriented – Able to learn quickly and make reasoned, sound, and timely decisions.
  • Effective communication, cross- discipline and functional facilitation, and influencing skills, both verbal and written with focus on requirements, design basis document and technical presentation preparation and delivery.

The base pay range for this position is $112k - $160k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 6/13/25.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
