Patient Engagement Director is responsible to lead the establishment and implementation of the patient engagement strategy and tactics for selected therapeutic areas in close alignment with respective TA teams. Establish and maintain key external patient partnerships in order to deliver on our strategy

Main Accountabilities:

  • Creation of patient engagement strategy based on brand and medical TA strategy
  • Develop and lead patient engagement tactics
  • Strong collaboration with Regional Medical Directors and respective patient networks and patient organizations
  • Establish and maintain a strong collaboration and partnership with relevant patient organizations
  • All processes are developed and in place as needed
  • Establish Ferring’s recognition and value with relevant patient organizations
  • Cross functional collaborations with internal teams for consistency and alignment in patient focused plans and strategies Create a strong understanding within Medical Affairs of patient populations and develop medical strategies and solutions to help improve patient care
  • Patient Advocacy landscape assessment of strategic partnerships and alignment of Ferring’s initiatives with industry standards

Performance Indicators:

  • Establishment of new relationships with relevant patient networks or organizations
  • Increased recognition of Ferring’s name and value by patients

 Required Education/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Advanced scientific degree (e.g. MD, PharmD, PhD) required
  • Experience in pharma industry > 10 years for major pharma companies and working in a matrix environment
  • Prior experience with Patient Engagement with and leading Advocacy and Patient Support Programs

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $136,850 to $195,500, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.

Benefits for this role include: comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees; a 401k plan and company match; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain tuition expenses; sick time frontloaded yearly of 40 hours, or higher if state or local law requires; vacation time for full time employees to accrue between 112.5 and 150 hours yearly in the first four (4) years of employment, and additional accruals starting in the fifth (5th) year of employment; and 12 to 13 paid holidays per year. We are proud to offer paid parental leave subject to a minimum period of employment at Ferring. For roles that are not field-based, Ferring has a policy that allows employees to work up to two days from home and three at a Ferring site, weekly.
