Location: Fort Mill, SC
Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing the movement of products from the manufacturer to the end customer, ensuring timely delivery and smooth operations. Manage the storage and distribution of goods, ensuring that the right products are delivered on time and at a reasonable cost. They manage the supply chain, which includes inventory, transportation, and forecasting. This role is a key player in the shipping and supply chain management realm, and leverages information systems and software to enable strong forecasting and effective program implementation. Responsibilities and duties involving receiving, storing, and shipping products.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee all distribution functions, including safety, order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, returns and receiving.
- Manage the entire distribution process from product manufacturing to delivery to customers.
- Develop and implement distribution policies and procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Manage and coordinate logistics and transportation operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Monitor supply chain and inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and meet customer demand.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and customer service, to ensure effective operations.
- Review and analyze production and customer demand data to forecast future distribution needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. import/export regulations, customs regulations) and company policies.
- Balances workloads as needs to achieve productivity and delivery goals.
- Monitor the flow of work throughout the warehouse, investigating unusual delays, and/or problem areas, and then take appropriate action and decisions with the management team to control and eliminate deviations.
- Ensure all operating objectives, goals, and performance standards are communicated throughout the operation, achieved, sustained and/or improved.
- Implement PFEP (Plan for Every Part) to manage and replenish raw material and FG inventories following the company stocking policy for Runners, Repeaters and Strangers.
- Review and analyze production and customer demand data to forecast future distribution needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. import/export regulations, customs regulations) and company policies.
- Achieve and sustain 98% inventory accuracy through a disciplined cycle counting program.
- Organize and coordinate with the Team physical inventories as required by Finance policies.
- Safety and Housekeeping: Implement, deploy and embrace 5S to ensure that good housekeeping and safe operating procedures and practices are followed throughout the facility.
- Chair employee meetings to lead and promote communication within an environment of continuous improvement.
- Assure that employees are working and contributing to a safe work environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, or any related field.
- Bilingual English – Spanish, a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in a distribution or logistics management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with inventory management software and delivery tracking systems
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards
- Outstanding leadership, honesty, transparency and work ethics.
- Certified Forklift Operator and Forklift Trainer
- Trained and certified in Reasonable Suspicion Testing
- OSHA safety awareness and experience
- DOT FMCSA regulation awareness and experience
- Supervisory and management experience required.
