Patient Service Representative-Phillips Pediatrics Practice-Mount Sinai Union Square-Part Time, Days, 3 Saturdays/month

Registers patients, recording clinical, financial and demographic information

• Enters this information into computer system
• Greets patients entering registration area
• Answers telephones and directs messages to appropriate parties
• Collects payments from patients for services rendered
• Processes third party payer requests for payment
• Schedules patient appointments, referrals and consults on computer/manual system
• Provides information to Billing, Accounting and Medical Records
• Deposits and reconciles all cash against deposits and posted transactions
• Ensures deposits are safeguarded and secured in accordance with organizational policy
• Demonstrated the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned area

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) and some college required.
• Experience in a medical/customer service environment preferred.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $25.27 - $27.75 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
