Job Summary

Millstone Power Station in Waterford, Connecticut is looking for a Mechanical Engineering intern for the summer of 2024 to support Component Engineering group functions. Accepted candidate will support refuel outage planning activities for snubbers, motor operated valves and air operated valves (AOV). Field work will involve heat exchanger inspections and exposure to vibration monitoring and air flow measurements. Primary use will be population and implementation of AOV database for setup and configuration data as central repository for Millstone.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired. 
• Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
• Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.
• An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics

Education Requirements

Enrolled in ABET BS Engineering Program, Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Degree (Mechanical prefered) program as a rising sophomore or junior with a graduation date of no sooner than December 2025.  GPA of at least 3.0.
