Summary Description:  Controls site access via security protocols and completes required documentation for deliveries and visitors.

• Interact professionally and courteously with the public, clients, contractors, visitors, and employees, providing assistance and information as needed.
• Enforce access control and visitor management procedures, verifying appointments, identification, and credentials.
• Monitor and document all incoming and outgoing tanker loads, product loads, and deliveries with acute attention to detail.
• Ensure adherence to proper weigh master procedures and accurately axel out trucks for proper weight monitoring.
• Oversee cream loads and address scale malfunctions promptly.
• Manage shipping and receiving common carrier paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Facilitate the DLP loadout process, maintaining precision and efficiency.
• Handle bills of lading meticulously, verifying the correctness of information and documentation.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all transportation activities and related security measures.
• Generate reports related to transportation, load monitoring, and security incidents as necessary.
• Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or any form of security breaches.
• Take proactive measures to ensure a secure environment, including responding to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
• Generate detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to maintain GMPs, Safety standards, and procedures.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks and projects in expected time frames.
• Ability to sit or stand for up to 12-hour shifts and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Demonstrated customer service skills including being responsive and having a sense of urgency.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to positively interact with others.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Demonstrates a professional image in all situations.

 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Working knowledge of manufacturing system software (SAP and MES) is preferred.
• Self-starter who demonstrates initiative in recognizing and accomplishing needed tasks for the department office.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies: 

• To be completed within 6 months from the date PSO registration is approved or within 6 months of the date of employment as a PSO (minimum of 16 hours):
• 1. Power to Arrest (2 hours);
• 2. Weapons of Mass Destruction and Terrorism Awareness for Security Professionals (minimum of 2 hours);
• 3. Minimum of 12 hours of Proprietary Private Security Officer Training Courses (I – VI)

 

 To be completed annually (minimum of 2 hours):

• A registered Proprietary Private Security Officer must complete a minimum of 2 hours of continuing education that is specifically dedicated to the review or practice of security officer skills.

 

Working Relationships: 

• This position reports to the Maintenance Senior Supervisor.

• Regular interaction with Leprino employees, customers, vendors, contractors, and the general public.
