About the role
Benefits:
Imagine this: you roll up to a construction site, a farm, or a manufacturing floor in your own fully-equipped mobile workshop. A machine is down. Everyone's waiting. You open the van, assess the problem, fabricate the part, and fix it — on the spot. The crew is back to work. You're the hero. Then you drive to the next call.
That's life as a Mobile Service & Sales Technician (MSST) with PIRTEK — and it's genuinely as cool as it sounds.
This role is part technician, part problem-solver, part trusted advisor. You're not stuck at a desk or anchored to a shop floor. You own your territory, build real relationships with real customers, and get paid to be the person who shows up when things go sideways. If you love working with your hands, crave variety, and want a career that actually builds into something — keep reading.
PIRTEK is the nation's leading provider of on-site hydraulic and industrial hose assembly and replacement. We operate 24/7/365 with a 1-hour emergency ETA promise — because when a machine goes down, every minute of downtime costs our customers real money.
Our mission is simple: keep the world moving. Construction equipment, agriculture, manufacturing, marine, mining — if it runs on hydraulics, PIRTEK keeps it running. We do this through a network of service centers and a fleet of purpose-built mobile units staffed by technicians who are trained, equipped, and empowered to solve problems fast.
Our core values aren't just wall art — they're how we actually operate:
MSST stands for Mobile Service & Sales Technician. It's a title unique to PIRTEK — and it covers a lot of ground (literally).
You'll be dispatched from our Stockton, CA service center in a purpose-built mobile workshop — think a fully loaded van with fabrication tools, a hose inventory, and everything you need to handle service calls in the field. Your customers range from construction sites and industrial facilities to farms and fleets. When their hydraulic or industrial hose fails, you're who they call.
But you're not just fixing things — you're also building relationships and growing a book of business. That's the sales side. You're an ambassador for PIRTEK in your territory, and the trust you build with customers directly shapes your success.
Every day is different. Here's the core of what this role looks like:
You don't need hydraulic experience on day one — we'll train you. What we can't train is drive, character, and a genuine love for hands-on work. Here's what makes someone great at this role:
- Bonus based on performance
- Company car
- Competitive salary
- Free uniforms
- Opportunity for advancement
- Paid time off
- Training & development
