Responsibilities:

The Sr. Manager/Director, Patient Support Services will be responsible for patients support programs (patient reimbursement, patient access, and patient affordability programs) inclusive of field facing reimbursement teams and patient programs with responsibility in multiple therapeutic areas.   This person will collaborate to remove access and affordability hurdles for patients on the Azurity products, through partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include ensuring understanding of reimbursement process, co-pay and affordability solutions, PAP/Free goods program, field reimbursement services, and patient support services in general. 

Duties will include overseeing assigned vendors, anticipating/identifying/resolving potential operational challenges, overseeing accurate and timely reporting of results, monitoring program budgets, and ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are being met. The candidate must be solution-oriented, operationally savvy, creative, highly organized, flexible, and adept at handling multiple projects with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders. This will be a highly visible position interacting with many internal functional groups and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with assigned vendors to oversee patient access and affordability programs (for e-voucher, copay, and PAP etc.)
  • Partner cross-functionally with Market Access, Trade, Marketing, Sales, Commercial operations, and other internal teams to ensure optimal patient support as per brand needs.
  • Support the Sr. Director with developing, maintaining, and meeting all program budget requirements.
  • Review operating model for patient support programs including external vendor partnerships, use of internal resources, and use of digital tools.
  • Conduct reviews of patient support programs to identify opportunities to enhance services to support the disease state specific patient needs.
  • Horizon scanning activities meant to identify industry trends, best practices, innovation initiatives that can be applied to and implemented within Azurity’s patient support programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience with a strong focus on patient access, copay, PAP, and other patient support services.
  • Self-directed and demonstrated ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver results in an accelerated change management environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent writing, excel, power point and organizational skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
