Your Team
The Group Controller for North America Clinical Services and Solutions (CSS), assumes the leadership across a group of manufacturing plants. This role will play a critical role leading a group of plant controllers and their supporting teams. The scope of the role is end-to-end supply chain. Reporting directly to the Healthcare Systems & Technologies (HST) - Global Integrated Supply Chain Finance Leader.
This role is responsible for an annual budget of $400M in value of production, $30M in capital spend, $140M of inventory. The group of plants has a workforce of 550 direct and 472 indirect employees.
What you'll be doing
As a member of the ISC Finance Extended Leadership Team, the Group Controller’s primary responsibilities are:
- Provides relevant, accurate and timely communication of financial performance (past, present, and future). Includes oversight of month end closing, the submission of weekly pulses, the preparation of quarterly forecasts and the preparation of the budgets (annual and long-range plans)
- Provides oversight of all plant related GAAP, SOX and Baxter policy requirements. The Plant Controller has ultimate responsibility for their plant’s financial records (P&L and B/S).
- Achieves financial results as and analyzes variances in the following areas - manufacturing variances, operating income, cash flow, capital investments) as well as (on time and on budget), and value improvement project (VIP) generation and execution
- Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement (both financial and operational)
- Responsible for development & management of a team of controllers (3) across multiple sites
- Financial Leadership: Supervision, culture and engagement, and talent development of the plant finance staff across the group. Act as ISC finance business partner to various cross-functional teams
- Achieves financial results for KPIs including manufacturing variances, operating income, cash flow, capital investments and value improvement projects (VIP)
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree required with a preference in finance or accounting. MBA or equivalent preferred
- 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing or supply chain finance
- Background in standard costing, budget management and capital analysis and control
- Consistent track record of identifying and implementing change
- Has effectively communicated at all levels of the organization in both formal and informal environments.
- Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization
- Capable of delivering a case for change by analyzing and demonstrating effective strategies
- Maintains a strong presence, with the ability to lead indirect reporting relationships
