Overview

Chubb is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to join our team and drive the integration of complex systems using Java and microservices architecture. In this critical role, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable integration solutions that enhance the functionality and performance of our systems. You will work closely with diverse teams to ensure seamless communication across integrated platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic design and development of integration solutions using Java and microservices. Ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Design, implement, and maintain microservices-based integrations. Advocate for best practices in microservices, including containerization and orchestration.
  • Mentor and guide a team of integration engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Partner with product managers, developers, and business analysts to gather and validate integration requirements and drive successful implementation.
  • Develop and optimize RESTful API services to integrate various systems and applications. Leverage modern frameworks and libraries to enhance functionality.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex integration challenges. Implement proactive measures to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, technical designs, and configuration settings to facilitate knowledge sharing. 
  • Stay updated with industry trends, particularly in Java development and microservices. 
  • Promote continuous improvement through innovation and adoption of emerging technologies including AI (withing Chubb governed policies and controls).

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Practical experience using GenAI (Claude/CoPilot/Gemini) with a good understanding of subagents, MCP and controls; used to support the design, development, testing.
  • Extensive experience in Java development, particularly with microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with message brokers and middleware (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Excellent leadership and team man
