Job Description:

The Grant Program Manager supports the life cycle of workforce development grants, interpreting grant requirements, monitoring outcomes, overseeing reporting and performance objectives, and representing LSU in strategic discussions with state agencies and business partners. This position assists leadership with proposal development and plays a key role in building strategic collaborations that address workforce development needs. Current grants includes Louisiana Workforce Commission Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP) and the Department of Children and Family Services/Child Support Enforcement (DCFS/CSE).

Job Responsibilities:

Manage comprehensive post-award grant activities. Oversees the full scope of post-award responsibilities for all assigned grants. This includes maintaining consistent communication with key stakeholders, monitoring progress toward grant objectives, ensuring compliance with all state and federal requirements, preparing and submitting change requests, tracking performance outcomes, and completing all required reports and documentation for funding agencies in a timely and accurate manner. 50%

Represent LSU in Strategic Grant-Related Engagements. Serves as LSU’s primary representative in strategic conversations with department leadership, state agencies, business partners, and other external organizations. Communicates program needs, provides updates on grant activities, and ensures LSU’s interests and standards are upheld during collaborative planning and decision-making. 20%

Coordinate Contract and Sub-Contract Processes. Collaborates closely with the department’s business office to prepare, route, and execute all contracts and sub-contracts associated with grant-funded projects. Ensures that all agreements meet university, state, and funding agency requirements; monitors contract timelines; and supports ongoing communication to maintain accurate and compliant documentation. 15%

Support the Development of Grant Proposals and Funding Requests. Assists department leadership, industry partners, and Louisiana-based organizations in developing competitive LWC/IWTP and DCFS/CSE grant proposals. Prepares detailed cost estimates and quotes for organizations seeking to include LSU Online & Continuing Education courses and certificate programs in their training plans. Ensures proposal components align with program goals, grant guidelines, and university standards. 10%

Contribute to Departmental Operations and Additional Assigned Duties. Provides flexible support for departmental initiatives and special projects as assigned. Assists with activities that strengthen workforce development partnerships, enhance grant operations, and contribute to the overall mission and success of LSU Online & Continuing Education. 5%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience
