About the role

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

About the Role

Netflix's Creative Innovation team works at the intersection of storytelling and emerging technology, shaping how these new solutions like AI, volumetric capture, and virtual production influence production practices across the Studio and the broader industry. This role sits at the center of that work.

You will be an embedded voice in the production community: understanding what creators are actually trying to do, what tools are genuinely solving problems versus creating new ones, and where the industry conversation is heading. You will design and facilitate the convenings where production realities surface and get debated. You will represent Netflix's perspective in industry forums and working groups. You will synthesize what you learn back into guidance and principles that Netflix teams can use. You will educate, internally and externally, about where this technology matters and where it doesn't.

Netflix sits at the center of this conversation in a way no other organization does, with the productions, the filmmaker relationships, and the institutional standing to make this work matter around the world. This is a role for someone who has earned genuine trust inside the production community, has a real point of view on where creative technology is heading, and understands that the most important work right now is helping the industry navigate a transition that is still early. This is a role for someone who has been doing versions of this work because they believe it matters, who understands that the hardest part of this moment is not the technology but the transition, and who has the patience and conviction to help an industry navigate that thoughtfully, from the inside out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and steward relationships with production peers. Understand what creatives are actually trying to do, what tools are genuinely helping and which aren't, and where their concerns sit. Be a trusted sounding board. Bring production reality into Netflix's thinking before decisions get made.

  • Design and facilitate convenings and advisory forums. Create the spaces where working filmmakers and production teams surface real challenges and learnings. Keep those conversations grounded in actual work and convert what you hear into guidance updates, principles refinements, and internal learning.

  • Own the internal knowledge and education infrastructure. Synthesize what you learn from the production community into clear, honest guidance that Studio teams can act on. Develop the frameworks, publications, and learning approaches that help people build real fluency, not just awareness. Take genuine satisfaction in helping others understand something complex and use that understanding to do better work.

  • Represent Netflix in industry conversations. Participate in the forums, working groups, and practitioner communities where generative production practices are being defined. The goal is to listen, learn, and bring that intelligence back in a form the Studio can use, while ensuring Netflix's perspective is grounded in production reality when it does enter those conversations.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of direct experience in production, post production, or a closely related field, with deep firsthand familiarity with how creative teams work and what they actually need from tools. This is not a technology or product role.

  • Genuine relationships and credibility with filmmakers and production peers built through years of real work and follow-through, not institutional affiliation or ecosystem familiarity.

  • A genuine belief that innovation takes time and that listening, learning, and building trust with communities navigating change is as important as the technology itself. The patience to earn a room before trying to shape it.

  • Demonstrated experience navigating change management in creative or production environments, helping teams and communities move through uncertainty with confidence rather than resistance.

  • A clear, grounded point of view on creative technology. The judgment to distinguish between hype and genuine value, and the confidence to say so in a room of people who disagree.

  • Exceptional ability to listen,
