General Notes

This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Some travel within the state of Texas required.

Purpose

The Social Science/Humanities Research Associate V will plan and implement research on funded contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret quantitative or qualitative data collected from participants, community organizations, and state agencies using statistical software.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and publications.
  • Manage data collection from project sites, project partners, and funders.
  • Assist with data collection consultation and support pertaining to contractual and site specific outcomes.
  • Plan and implement research and evaluation processes.
  • Participate in all internal and external team and project meetings.

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in social work, public health, psychology, or other related field with at least 6 years of experience in multi-site health services evaluation planning, implementation, data management, analysis, and reporting. Proficient with statistical analysis software. Experience with online survey administrators (e.g., Qualtrics or REDCap) and conducting interviews. Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral Degree with at least 5 years of experience conducting research within the public mental health, homelessness, or social services sectors. Skilled in utilizing statistical software for data analysis and managing datasets, such as Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS). Skilled in employing web-based applications for research purposes (e.g., Infogram, Canva, Power BI). Proficient in writing research reports and manuscripts. Experience sharing research findings in presentations.

Salary Range

$50,000 - $70,000 depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

  • May work around standard office conditions

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

  • Some travel within the state of Texas required

Work Shift

M-F, Flexible between 8am-6pm
