Principal AI Infrastructure Engineer (remote)

Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance AI Operations: Prototype and utilize latest generative AI LLMs and tools to streamline processes and tools, enabling faster and more effective AI Agents development across various verticals.
- Lead R&D Efforts: Lead infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and monitoring for model training, fine-tuning, serving, and retraining workflows.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for new AI-driven products through data insights.
- Program-Level Initiatives: Lead initiatives focused on the initial development of AI-powered products.
- Ethical AI/ML Practices: Ensure AI models are transparent, relevant, and ethically used.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, cloud architects, and security teams to operationalize ML/LLM applications reliably and securely.
- Compliance: Ensure robust PHI/PII compliance (HIPAA, SOC2) across all environments.
Job Scope:
This role requires ownership with minimal technical guidance, handling end-to-end infrastructure and deployment lifecycle for GenAI applications in a highly regulated, multi-cloud setup. You will constantly Evaluate and integrate new model families (e.g., xAI, Gemini, GPTx) into secure production-ready stacks.
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $170K to $190K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):- Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering related fields; Master's or PhD preferred.
- Experience: 8–12+ years of experience in DevOps, ML infrastructure, or cloud platform engineering.
- Technical Skills: Strong hands-on with Cloud environments preferably OCI or Azure, Databricks, and Kubernetes (OKE/AKS). Proven experience building secure, scalable ML/LLM CI/CD pipelines.
- Other Skills: Familiarity with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC2) in ML environments.
Preferred Experience: Expertise in open-weight model hosting
