This role reports to our Head of People Strategy & Programs.

You’ll have several areas of responsibilities, including:

We’ll look for these qualities, experience, and skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in program management, learning and development, onboarding, or a similar role.

  • Proven ability to build and manage onboarding programs for global teams.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong project management abilities with attention to detail and a knack for organization.

  • Ability to thrive and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

  • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving and designing/implementing programs.

  • Experience with collecting and using data to inform decisions and improve program effectiveness.

  • Passion for fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.

You might thrive in this role if you:

  • Are excited about developing new hire programs that align with OpenAI’s mission and goals.

  • Enjoy building strong connections and fostering an inclusive and engaging environment.

  • Can harness excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information.

  • Are adaptable and creative, always looking for new and exciting ways to enhance onboarding experiences.

  • Have a talent for balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Workplace & Location

This role is based in our San Francisco office, and we chose this location due to the primary location of Onboarding for our new hires along with proximity to our core group of People and cross-functional teams. We offer relocation support to new employees, and we use a hybrid work model: three days in the office per week with optional work from home on Thursdays and Fridays.

Our open-plan offices have height-adjustable desks, conference rooms, phone booths, well-stocked kitchens full of snacks and drinks, three in-house prepared meals daily, a private outdoor space for working in the sun or socializing, nap rooms, private bike storage, and more.
