As our Lead Leave of Absence Analyst, you will serve as team leader overseeing activities, approvals, and training on cases assigned to the Leave of Absence Analyst 3 and Leave of Absence Specialist 2’s on the team. You will manage assigned case files and coordinates leaves of absence such as FMLA, CFRA, PDL, Workers’ Comp, Military Leaves, etc., for employees served by UCLA Health HR.
In this role, you will report to and consult with the Leave of Absence Manager for guidance on complicated cases. you will coordinate with the Leave of Absence Manager providing feedback on the team’s quality of work. Provides day-to-day guidance to the Leave of Absence Analysts and leads the team by example. You will facilitate education workshops for managers and employees and encourage open communication on system and process challenges that the analysts are faced with and provide suggestions for potential improvements to the Leave of Absence Manager.
Salary Range: $83,800 to $179,400 annually
Job Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business, social sciences, or related field preferred
- 4 years of Leave of Absence case experience
- Experience with collective bargaining agreements
- Strong understanding of leave of absence case law, policies, and legislation Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills
- Leave certifications are a plus (CLMS, CPDM, Other HR Management Certifications)
- Experience managing a large volume of leaves for a large employer
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong knowledge base of UC policy, contracts, and UCPath SOPs strongly preferred
- Proficient in compiling data and metrics
