The main role of the Learning Assistant in biology courses will be to support student engagement and learning. Learning assistants will support students enrolled in the course with course content and assignments. Learning assistants will answer students’ questions, model techniques, moderate student discussions, answer questions about assignments, and prepare some materials to be used during review sessions. Learning assistant positions are available for the following courses:
Fundamentals of Biology
Principles of Biology
Genetics
Field Ornithology
Microbiology
Ecology
In addition, Learning Assistants can be hired to assist with STEM recruitment as STEM ambassadors.
Pay Rate: $15.80
