Backend Software Engineer - Associate / Assistant Vice President

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>iCapital is looking to hire a Backend Engineer Associate or Assistant Vice President to join the Software Engineering team. This individual will play an integral role in designing and implementing systems that power the iCapital platform. This role will work closely with the Product Management team throughout the software development process. The platform sits on top of a micro-services architecture with services built in Scala, Ruby, and Python. This person will have the opportunity to develop knowledge with new tools and technologies with support from management and mentors.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Build cloud native services using Scala, also using open-source frameworks (i.e. Akka and ZIO).</li> <li>Work with internal technical partners to create a product offering that meets the needs of our clients.</li> <li>Assist platform and system demonstrations for new prospects and work collaboratively with internal and external cross-functional teams platform onboarding and ongoing client development.</li> <li>Maintain synchronization across various industry groups to deliver a robust platform solution that addresses key stakeholders’ needs.</li> <li>Take ownership of projects.</li> <li>Participate in Peer Code Reviews as part of our standard SDLC and Change Management Process.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of cloud-based application development&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in Scala, Node.js or Java is a plus&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of relational or NoSQL database concepts and modeling practices&nbsp;</li> <li>Passion for actively learning new technologies&nbsp;</li> <li>Able to work independently or as part of a group effort, as required&nbsp;</li> <li>Solid problem-solving abilities&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent communication skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborative approach to software development&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and attention to detail&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <p>The base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $140,000.&nbsp; iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
