JOB PURPOSE:
The Head Football Coach is a 12-month, full-time position responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction for all aspects of the program.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develops, organizes and administers a competitive Division I intercollegiate football program
- Recruits student-athletes within NCAA guidelines
- Executes practice organization and develops game strategy
- Cultivates student-athletes’ skill and strategy related to the sport
- Assists with development of team budget and abide by same
- Develops working relationship with athletic administration and support staff in the overall management of the football program
- Adheres to all university, NCAA and MEAC policies and procedures and educate student-athletes about the same
- Foster an environment that prioritizes academic success, personal growth, character development, and well-being
- Mentor student-athletes on academic planning, goal setting, leadership, communication skills, and responsible citizenship
- Participates in fundraising and community service activities
- Promote an inclusive team environment that respects diversity and supports belonging for all student-athletes
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
Reports to the Vice President & Director of Athletics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Compliance Salary Range Disclosure
$340,000 - $350,000
