Job Description
Be part of the Production Engineering and Digital Workplace Technology Project Management Organization. You will join a team of creative, curious, and passionate professionals whose mission is to deliver high standards solutions to our business. The successful individual ensures that our programs and strategies meet the evolving needs of the enterprise through continuous innovation, evaluation, and execution. This role requires strong multi-business unit and stakeholder management as well as team management. You must work well in a dynamic, complex environment and under deadline pressures. The role requires strong organizational, technical, and creative problem-solving skills. The Manager is responsible for providing the leadership and direction to effectively deliver workplace technology engineering projects and programs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of work experience working with large scale program / project management
- 1+ years experience leading the team of project/program managers
- Detailed knowledge and proven experience with project management knowledge areas: integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder
- Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholder groups to strategically shape projects; lead execution with strong executive presence.
- Experience performing portfolio audits assessing scope, schedule, and budget health, and engaging project managers to resolve conflicts.
- Manage project/portfolio financials, requests for funding prior to leadership review.
- Develop analytics and reporting to enable informed risk reduction.
- Manage escalations either within the team or to sponsors and executives when needing steer
- Assist in annual budget planning process by ensuring completion of proposals and budget information
- Assist in developing and maintaining project management processes, templates, and training materials. Identify opportunities for standardizing project execution processes and artifacts. Ensure project managers adherence to PMO governance.
- Continuously improve resource management and capacity planning efforts
- Collaborate with teams to identify, log, track and resolve principles of professional project management such as Risk, Issue, Dependency, Decision and Change Management, Resource and Capacity Management and leverage these to improve control and visibility
- Analyze and provide regular status reports that are objective and reflect the true state of progress
- Manage the complete lifecycle and facilitate the team to transition from phase to phase
- Lead the effective communication and dissemination of information between all working teams
- Facilitate weekly project reviews, including ownership of scheduling, presentations, and capturing meeting notes and action items
- Ability to synthesize and simplify complex concepts/requirements to the team and stakeholders and tie back to business objectives
- A true collaborator and team player who can encourage and promote one team across groups to meet common goals and add value
- Strong sense of commitment, urgency, and sound business sense
