Overview
We are currently looking for a senior software testing engineer to contribute to the quality assurance of our Native and Hybrid Apps. As a fintech business, technology and platforms which underpin our products are at the heart of what we do. We are highly focused on ensuring that all these platforms are architected and built using established best practices and give us a robust foundation to drive our products. You will be working with a team of product owners, developers, architects, testers and product managers.
This is a hands-on role and will play a primary role in planning, implementing, leading and executing all aspects of Quality and Testing. The role requires hands-on QA expertise, ability to take initiative and develop and evolve our automated and manual QA processes. The right candidate will be able to analyze the systems to determine what to test, the priority of those tests and the best way to test.

- Test strategy preparation
- Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices for both automated and manual testing
- Contribute to all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
- Act as a point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
- Mentor other team members, as well as manage outside contract testers if required.
- Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
- Diagnose defects and track them from discovery to resolution.
- Partner with engineering teams to stay informed of new technologies being introduced and to ensure that system components are designed for testability.
- Respond to all requests from team members in a timely professional manner.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience - Required:
- BA+ 5+ years’ experience in the software testing field including prior hands-on quality engineering experience in automated and manual QA of testing mobile apps.
- Test the app: Ensure that the app works as intended by evaluating its functionality, usability, performance, and security.
- Analyze performance: Monitor and analyze the app's performance
- Analyze crash reports: Analyze the app when it crashes, generate reports on the crash, and determine the errors that cause the impact
- Collaborate with others: Work with developers and product owners to facilitate product launches
- Proficiency with various testing tools and the use of device farms
- Knowledge of SDLC & STLC phases includes - Requirements analysis, Test Planning, Test Case Design, Test Estimation, Test Artifacts documentation, Test Execution, Defect Management, Test Reporting and Review
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies
- Familiarity with entire software development life cycle and test cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Security, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity)
- Understanding of multi-tier web application architecture and deployment
- Understanding of existing QA best practices and methodologies to design, implement and automate processes
- Prior success using a metrics-driven approach and closed-loop feedback to improve software deliverables and improve predictability and reliability of releases
- Detailed and effective written communication skills for documenting the features tested and bugs found
- Highly organized, detail oriented, extremely responsive and able to prioritize a large number of tasks
- Self-motivated, works well independently and with others
Benefits
Salary Range for California Residents Only: $115,763.00 to $131,500.00
Salary Range for Illinois Residents Only: $78,220.00 to $101,700.00
