Summary: ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex off Spruill Avenue). We are looking for a Boiler Operator to join our team.

Description:
• Operate and provide maintenance on 10.5 MMBTU/HR capacity steam and hot water boilers
• Perform work on steam boiler safety devices. i.e., Main steam safeties, low and high-water shutdown switches, and applicable safety codes.
• Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts which register various aspects of boiler operation
• Analyze boiler water for such things as acidity, causticity, and alkalinity and apply chemical treatment for boiler feedwater and air conditioning cooling towers.
• Perform routine work and identified projects
• Maintain daily boiler logs.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Must possess two (2) years’ experience in boiler operation and maintenance
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Must be a US Citizen
• Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to squat, lift, sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical.
