If you desire a position where you will have daily exposure to all phases of the engineering process, participate in growing a company, and enjoy learning to work with clients, project management and production, this is the opportunity for you.  We seek an experienced Part time or Full Time Senior Transportation Civil Engineer with the knowledge and skills to manage diverse projects. Ideal candidate has experience in / or an intense interest in traffic engineering principles and working knowledge of the latest traffic engineering software 

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of transportation studies that may include traffic impact studies, traffic signal timing studies, corridor studies, roundabout studies, safety studies
• Preparation of traffic simulation models 
• Preparation of traffic signal design and fiber plans, construction estimate, specifications and special detail plans
• Preparation of traffic management plans
• Provide construction support engineering
• Provide project team leadership in meeting schedules and budgets

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana 
• A minimum of 20 years of experience as a licensed engineer
• Working knowledge of traffic engineering software such as such as HCS, Synchro, Vissim, Vistro and/or Sidra
• Strong computer skills
• Professional with a positive attitude

 Ideal candidate may also possess the following:

• Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) 
• Proficiency with MicroStation and / or AutoCAD 
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications including a working knowledge of Excel and Word
