Description:
In the Copywriting Creative Director position, you’ll manage a team for one large client, thriving to get the most creative results for exciting unique opportunities – including digital and social activations, celebrity and influencer partnerships as well as overall Brand Voice. This is a role where you’ll partner with a big US based client, working with new tech and comms. Additionally, our ideal candidate is a fast and flexible go-getter who jumps right onto new opportunities. Our client is fresh, a little quirky and relies mostly on quick, punchy comedic work and a lot of it.
Duties and responsibilities:
- In this key role, you’ll help steer the creative ship of one of our newest and most exciting large clients
- You’ll be working with an Art Group Creative Director who has been leading the business from the beginning and is looking for a strong, exciting and challenging POV on Brand Voice
- Working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team and you’ll lead the creative process and pitches, taking on campaigns and projects big and small
- You’ll be client facing and the co-owning client relationships
- You’ll manage multiple work streams while ensuring all deliverables are at a world-class level
- Developing ideas from start to finish: briefing, concepting, presenting, feasibility, production
- Develop a holistic understanding of our clients’ partners, tech and creative in crafting flexible concepts that can be applied to a variety of partnership opportunities
- Build and maintain key relationships with internal cross-functional teams, including Producers, Creative, and Account
- Build and maintain key relationships with all clients and key stakeholders
- Serve as quality control in reviewing assets and deliverables against the original client goals
- Identify and develop the right set of assets and corresponding content to build stronger relationships between clients and their key partners.
- Explore other potential marketing activities to reach specific audiences with a focus on learning and optimizations across programs and channels
- You go above and beyond the original brief to push what’s possible on both a creative and technical level, even under tight deadlines
- Combining creative and comedic copywriting with critical thinking; your analytical approach enables you to ask the right questions and waterproof ideas from both a strategic and conceptual perspective
- You’ll help establish a consistent tone of voice that can help in brand building and future proofing this client for the next 15 years.
- You help to make sure all work is conceptually in line with campaign objectives and client expectations
Requirements:
- For this lead position, we’re looking for a client facing Copywriting Creative Director with experience in advertising, joke writing and short form social content as well as a track record of leading creative teams in an advertising or production agency
- Be very comfortable with being client facing
- Celebrity, pop culture and sports knowledge is a plus
- Professional background in making content (TV, social, OLV) out of home and digital campaigns
- Guide and mentor several internal teams at the same time
- Basic productional knowledge, allowing you to understand that how we make things will get us the most out of our creative
- You’re able to present a portfolio of praise-worthy projects, showcasing your understanding of innovative tech trends, PR-able ideas, and campaigns
- You can successfully ideate and pitch your ideas in a digestible, understandable format
- As part of a constructive feedback loop, you can give and handle criticism without making or taking it personally, eagerly going the extra mile if that’s what it takes to make good great
- You are humble enough to always listen and learn from clients and teammates
- You know how to empower and lead without a show of force, giving our in-house teams a clear creative direction and ownership over their projects
- As part of a global company operating as one team across time zones, you can successfully collaborate at a distance.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $200k - $220k annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
