Description

Fisher Associates is seeking a Senior Transportation Manager to join the Transportation Group. This position actively manages day-to-day business including business development and timely delivery of both technical and administrative projects assigned to the sector.

Essential Functions

  • Establishes and maintains strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
  • Develop and maintain a stable, motivated staff with high morale, and mentor staff in developing their professional demeanor, technical competence, team building skills, process improvements, and client relation skills.
  • Manage and facilitate project communications with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Manage projects including proposals, project budget, schedule, scope, invoicing, and accounts receivable on time and within budget.
  • Guide the design of projects, ensuring QA/QC is performed on all calculations and deliverables.
  • Write proposals and attend interviews; market the transportation sector’s services to existing and new clients and ensure that Fisher Associates is known and visible in the marketplace.
  • Provide input on Go/No Go decisions for RFP’s.
  • Oversee preparation of construction bid packages for transportation projects; providing direction to internal design staff; and communicating with clients and regulatory approving agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
  • 10+ years transportation design and project management experience
  • Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain PE license
  • Prior staff management preferred.
  • Client relationship and business development experience preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office programs.

  • Ability to transverse uneven grounds.
  • Must have an active driver license
  • Environmental Conditions: Office environment, field environment, construction site environment; exposure to dust, noise, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions when working in the field.
