Resident Assistant

San Marcos Academy is currently accepting applications for a Resident Assistant who can work part-time. The position starts in 2024. The applicant has the opportunity to continue in this position multiple years if hired.  Shifts are scheduled Monday-Friday between 4:00 p.m. and 12 p.m. Night shifts between 12:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. are available as well during the week and on the weekends. Weekend shifts may be any hours between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. 

Applicants will be required to work weekends when school is in session. 

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as a role model in behavior and appearance
• Provide support for dormitory supervisors 
• Assist in the daily operations of the facility
• Monitor and provide support for students

Job Qualifications:

• Have a Christian testimony
• High School diploma (Some college preferred)
• Experience working with youth (preferred)
• Ability to supervise a diverse group of young people
• High standard of behavior and moral conduct

Job Benefits:

Shifts are not assigned during Thanksgiving week, Christmas Break, and Spring Break.

Start Date:  2024

Compensation:  Pay is a stipend for 24 hours worked weekly. On campus housing and meals are provided with this position. Please contact humanresources@smabears.org for details.  Opportunity to earn additional compensation at $10 per hour for extra shifts may be available.
