JOB SUMMARY:
Receive emergency or non-emergency calls, dispatching personnel and equipment, and providing pre-arrival instructions to callers by performing the following duties.
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: None
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate emergency calls and relay daily information and assistance requests involving other law enforcement and firefighting agencies.
- Enter, update, and retrieve information from computer systems relating to radio traffic, lost and found, stolen property, and other information.
- Test, inspect, and operate radio, telephone, computer, and other equipment as needed.
- Prepare, review, and maintain reports, statistics, and records.
EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SOCIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
COMCOMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
Must be licensed by the Indiana Gaming Commission.
