About the role

The Bing Whole Page Revenue Optimization team is looking for a full stack Software Engineer II who is passionate about solving complex engineering problems and working on new features that will impact millions of users around the world daily – all of that with the added benefit of driving such features end-to-end, from design to implementation to A/B testing to shipping. 

 

Our team focuses on the monetization aspect of Bing by optimizing how pages are presented to users. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to analyze real world user behavior data, come up with new features and ideas, design and implement them end-to-end in the Bing stack, run A/B tests, and make informed decisions based on statistics. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high quality software features in the back and front-end (UX). 
  • Analyze the results of A/B experiments and make informed decisions on user impact. 
  • Generate new feature ideas for user engagement/revenue optimization through competitive analysis and user insights. 
  • Work effectively with peer engineers, designers, and program managers to maintain team’s agility.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with web development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with web development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Demonstrated coding, debugging and problem-solving skills. 
  • Great communication skills to collaborate within and across the organization.

 

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
