SUMMARY:
The Business Account Representative is responsible and accountable for marketing Goodwill Boston Career Center to employers to assist them with their recruitment needs and match job seekers to employers with appropriate jobs. The focuses is on employers in target industries with available jobs appropriate for the job seeker customers. The objective is to obtain long-term job placements, satisfied employers and recurring business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required of the Business Account Representative position.
• Develops, and maintains relationships with employers, staffing agencies, and human resource recruiters,
• Cultivates new employment sources, including business associations.
• Acts as a knowledgeable resource for employer’s staffing and resources teams, providing expertise on job placement, hiring tax incentives, and labor market information.
• Partners with other staff, program departments, and community/industry contacts and collects and assesses job seeker and labor market data to develop enhanced outreach and placement strategies.
• Reviews employer job postings and presents individuals that match the required qualifications based on recommendations and assessments from Career Navigators.
• Works with employers to engage them in on-site recruitments, career fairs, workshops, industry briefings, and job postings.
• As necessary, participates in evening coverage, facilitating workshops/groups and participating in special events.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge and familiarity with labor market information, industry trends and available services and programs.
• As needed, serves as back up for the resource room including answering phones, scheduling appointments and assisting customers.
• Performs duties in accordance with Goodwill’s standard policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Employee works under general supervision.
• Employee makes decisions within clearly prescribed areas referring matters that fall outside that area to others.
• Employee recommends actions and alternatives to supervisor and others.
• Advises clients on proper use of company services.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or Associate’s plus 2 years related experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a comparable role in addition to above.
• Strong marketing/sales skills, including ability to engage employers
• Ability to market job seekers with a broad range of skills and competencies to employers.
• Demonstrated experience working with employers, strong understanding of business needs, and extensive knowledge of the labor market.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess active listening and response skills in interacting with customers, business partners and staff.
• Must have excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to efficiently prioritize and multi-task.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proven experience in exercising good judgment.
• Exercises discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole) a plus.
• Current MA Driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Massachusetts.
• Requires satisfactory results of all required background checks according to Goodwill policy.
