About the role

The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a qualified candidate in a fast-paced environment and rapidly growing company. The General Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities include month-end and year-end close tasks, preparation of financial statements and analyses, provide requests for financial audits and tax return preparation, and assisting in various accounting functions. The General Accountant will also assist in creating process improvements, maintaining internal controls compliance, liaison with cross functional teams and contribute to building team culture.

 

What You’ll Do
• Responsible for month-end and year-end closing tasks including general ledger account reconciliations and journal entry preparations.
• Assists in preparing financial statements and analyses for internal and external users.
• Perform detailed transactional testing for Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) audit throughout the year.
• Participates in financial audit and internal control assessments and audits
• Assist with developing, maintaining and monitoring policies, processes and procedures.
• Liaison with other departments to provide financial support and collaborate on various projects.
• Transformative thinking to suggest process improvements and create efficiencies.
• All other duties as assigned.


What We Expect from You
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1-2 years of related accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle confidential matters related to daily business operations.
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate analysis to members of management.
• Ability to apply conceptual judgment and take initiative on complex accounting issues.
• Strong organizational/follow-up skills and attention to detail.
• Must be proactive and able to identify and act on company financial needs with minimal direction.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to be organized, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines by setting priorities.
• Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
