Location:
While remote location is an option, strong preference given to those applicants within a commutable distance to Madison, WI (4-hour radius).
Job Purpose:
The Senior HR Business Partner is a strategic role responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing human resource solutions that align with organizational goals and improve the employee experience. This role requires a deep understanding of both technical and business aspects to identify and address hidden issues that may impede the company’s success. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential to effectively interact with senior leaders and executives across the enterprise.
This position provides expert guidance and counsel to executive leaders on all aspects of HR, partnering closely with HR specialty areas like Employee & Labor Relations, Compensation, Talent Management, Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition to deliver organizational solutions that best fit the business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership and Coaching: Collaborate with business executives, leaders, and teams to develop strategies that drive productivity and growth. Ensure that HR initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives.
- Client Alignment: Deliver strategic HR support to assigned business area leaders, providing executive coaching on people strategies and leadership effectiveness. Participate on senior leadership teams, providing HR updates, facilitating talent processes, and connecting activities across the enterprise.
- HR Collaboration and Process Execution: Drive critical HR processes and work closely with HR teams to deliver key HR functions related to talent acquisition, compensation and rewards, talent management, career development, leadership development, employee relations, performance management, and strategic workforce planning.
- Organizational Development and Effectiveness: Work with senior leaders to design and implement organizational development initiatives to improve team effectiveness.
- Change Management: Supports and drives change management activities and programs based on business strategy in their Business Unit’s assigned. Acts as the champion of culture, change and engagement initiatives.
- Drives Key Projects: Lead projects within HR or represent HR on large-scale business initiatives related things such as organizational design, strategic imperatives, and acquisitions or divestitures.
- Leadership Development: Coach and mentor leaders on leadership principles and behaviors, performance management, employee engagement and coaching techniques. Advise leaders on finding the right balance between HR strategy and business priorities of the organization and the realities, constraints and need for consistency.
- Performance Analysis and Data-Driven Insights: Uses data and analytics to identify areas of opportunity and risks and actively develops specifically targeted programs, initiatives, or interventions. Analyze performance metrics, including employee retention and experience data, to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
- Issue Resolution: Collaborate with HR and other department managers to address and resolve workspace and employee relations issues.
- Work Environment: Implement strategies to create a work environment where employees can thrive, enjoy their roles, and pursue growth opportunities. Clearly links initiatives back to the voice of the employee and share successes.
