Salary Grade: 22 Salary Range: $68,778 - $110,732/depending on experience FLSA: Exempt
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff; develops and oversees employee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and control; compiles and reviews timesheets; approves/processes employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate; assists with or completes employee performance appraisals; directs work; acts as a liaison between employees and management; and trains staff in operations, policies, and procedures.
Manages projects and grants; receives, processes and completes grant documents including obtaining Board of Commissioner approval, notarizing and obtaining signatures from CEO and returning documents to Granting Agency for their signature/execution; informs County departments of receipt of grants and aids in entering grants into FMIS; and prepares monthly drawdown requests.
Prepares audit reports for various agencies; prepares Worker’s Compensation reports for summer employment programs, ensures expense records are properly maintained according County and federal regulations; and provides documentation as requested by granting agencies.
Liaises with various departments and boards; works with department managers to coordinate projects and programs; attends stakeholder board meetings; and provides information about County events, programs, and initiatives to stakeholder board members.
Tracks and verifies WIOA grant expenditures; oversees the allocation of salaries and expenditures into multiple grants based on cost allocations; manages accounts payable and accounts receivable; verifies payroll processes and checks issued; and submits approved reports to Granting Agency.
Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations, within designated timeframes and per established procedures; receives an reviews various documentation, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, travel advances and settlement of funds; reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate; prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, and other documentation, including drawdown requests, audits and sole source contracts; compiles data for further processing or for use in preparation of department reports; and maintains computerized and/or hardcopy records.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; five years of experience in accounting, finance, grant administration or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
