The North America team is currently looking for a Maintenance Working Lead on 1st shift to join our Taylorville, IL facility.
The Maintenance Working Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a company's facilities and equipment. This position is responsible for assisting with maintenance repair as needed both as a Technician and as support for other Technicians. In addition, they will oversee maintenance activities, leading a team of skilled technicians, and ensuring that all systems function efficiently. By maintaining high standards of equipment performance and safety, the position directly contributes to the organization’s overall productivity and helps achieve business objectives.
Your Impact
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Supervise and lead the maintenance team in daily operations.
- Develop, implement, and improve preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance work with minimum disruption of operational activities.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper storage.
- Coordinate and manage repair and maintenance activities through maintenance management software.
- Contact OEM for technical assistance or procedures or vendors to request repair or replacement parts.
- Assist outside contractors during inspections, technical support, or for other reasons ensuring company safety procedures are followed while visiting our facility.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices and safety protocols.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or higher in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment and facility maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role is desired.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
