As the Manufacturing Assistant Manager, you will lead our Personal Product plant's operations team in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- Lead and drive the manufacturing operations team of the Personal Product plant for reduction of CCFOT losses, take corrective actions continuously for further improvement and monitor progress of actions taken.
- Lead and drive the manufacturing operations team of the entire plant for implementation of operational strategies for improvement of key performance targets under PQCDSM, monitor progress daily and take corrective actions for further improvement.
- Lead and drive for implementation of safety standards through implementation of process, equipment and behavioral safety protocols in line with Unilever guidelines and local legislations for full compliance leading to safer working place. Educate the entire manufacturing team through continuous engagement for better understanding and knowledge improvement leading to behavioral culture change.
- Lead and drive for implementation of quality standards in the plant in line with Unilever guidelines and local legislations for full compliance of consumer quality standards. Analysis of product complaints related to Soap plant, drive action plans for corrective / improvements, monitoring the progress of actions and necessary regular progress update.
- Drive autonomous maintenance and planned maintenance programs in line with plant & equipment maintenance strategies developed by the respective WCM pillar leaders for best utilization of equipment and resources leading to achieve zero machine breakdowns in the PP plant. Analysis of machine breakdown trends, driving for implementation of corrective actions and monitor the progress.
- Responsible for continuous benchmarking of set key performance targets of the plant with other regional best manufacturing sites and driving programs for continuous improvement.
- Drive implementation of innovation projects plant looking for best alternatives / options of design for manufacturing, following category technology selection and support the innovation delivery as a part of agreed network.
- Responsible for skill gap analysis of subordinates and driving actions to develop knowledge / skills on Engineering, Production, SHE, Quality, Operations Management and General Management in consultation with HR Business partner-SC and the Factory Manager.
- Implement projects in line with factory sustainability road map for reduction of energy, water, RM/PM waste and solid / liquid effluent waste of the entire soap plant. Continuously implement best practices for achieving factory sustainability targets.
- Prepare and manage capital budgets and capital expenditure proposals in consultation with Factory Manager and Chief Engineer for plant upgrading for new technologies, energy management, SHE and Quality improvement and cost saving projects.
