Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies for achieving annual sales and margin growth targets for Carrier HVAC applied equipment in the assigned sales territories.
- Expand the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
- Forecast and develop annual sales quotas for the region; achieve annual sales and margin growth targets.
- Lead factory direct Carrier sales offices in the assigned territories.
- Engage with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors and owners to generate applied HVAC equipment sales.
- Establish new accounts and grow the volume and profitability of existing accounts.
- Provide planning, pricing, territory management, and sales activity reports on a regular basis.
- Execute Carrier's branded programs, product introductions and strategies.
- Manage the relationship with the Light Commercial product distribution channels.
- Manage the interface between Carrier factories, field organization and customers.
- Attract, retain, develop, and lead a small team of outside and inside Sales Engineers.
- Mentor early-career Sales Trainees, provide sales and safety training.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of Sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience with Applied HVAC equipment.
- Experience leading Sales teams preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC design and application tools.
- Experience selling to the Consulting Engineering and Owner community.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation skills and customer focus.
- Ability to direct, supervise and manage field operations to achieve effective and efficient performance.
- Consistent track record of setting and exceeding performance objectives, strong leadership, communication skills, coaching abilities.
