About the Role
As the Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for the United States tax reporting and compliance procedures. You will also proactively assist other departments with items concerning various aspects of tax on an as need basis.
Your Team
This position has some supervisory responsibilities for outside consulting projects along with one direct report.
What You Will Do
You will be a core member of the United States tax reporting team on the preparation and analysis of the quarterly United States tax provision procedures.
Assist in preparation of certain “rest of world” foreign tax provisions, as needed.
Prepare tax supporting documentation required for Samsung / GCPS reporting.
Core member on the preparation and review of the United States compliance by collaborating with both internal and external support.
Support with Research and Development Tax Credit study and ad hoc reporting requirements.
Assist tax team on researching technical matters related to the compliance process and developing well organized tax memoranda to support our conclusions and tax positions.
Assist with examinations by taxing authorities, as needed.
What You Need
Bachelor of Science/Accounting, or Finance degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience working in the corporate tax department
Experience preparing Federal, State and Local consolidated, Unitary and separate corporate tax returns
Working knowledge of Accounting for Income Taxes under ASC 740 / IFRS
Solid understanding of how to perform tax technical research
Proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work in a global matrixed organization and communicate at all levels
What is Nice to Have
Experience with One Source Tax Provision Software
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 5%, domestic travel.
Be willing to work in an office located at our Stamford CT location. This role is eligible to work remotely with occasional trips into the Stamford CT office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
