The Role
The Director of Corporate Accounting will oversee all aspects of full-cycle accounting and internal financial reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
This strategic leadership role will lead the company’s efforts to streamline the month-end close process and meet SEC accelerated reporting deadlines. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and preparing financial statements, disclosures, internal control compliance, and other critical reports for external stakeholders.

The Role

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and preparing financial statements, disclosures, internal control compliance, and other critical reports for external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilites
- Define the vision and strategic direction to build a world-class corporate accounting function.
- Oversee full-cycle accounting and ensure SOX compliance in the process.
- Develop the roadmap to streamline month-end close to meet SEC accelerated reporting timeline.
- Analyze current processes and lead the implementation of strategic improvements to streamline and automate operations and enhance effectiveness.
- Optimize and maintain the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to support efficient financial operations and preparation of internal reports such as Product and Industry P&Ls.
- Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team and assist with the preparation of external financial statements annually and quarterly.
- Coordinate the annual audit process and address audit inquiries.
- Work collaboratively across the accounting leadership team to continuously improve accounting controls and processes.
- Lead the accounting system integration of newly acquired companies as needed.
- Lead a team of skilled accounting staff, ensuring we're matching passion with purpose across the team.
- Promote a high-performance culture by cultivating and motivating direct reports through coaching, mentoring, and by providing regular and meaningful feedback.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- CPA Designation or equivalent qualification in good standing.
- 10+ years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years of direct managerial experience.
Bonus Points
- Prior industry experience at a public company and/or a Big 4 accounting firm
- Prior experience in one of our core industries (i.e. Gaming, Media & Entertainment, and Financial Services)
- Netsuite experience
- Proven track record of streamlining and automating processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Impeccable analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, driving performance and achieving objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Proven track record in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation for audits.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
