About the Role:
GoodRx is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our Accounting team. The Sr. Accountant will be tasked with ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of accounting records, including maintaining key general ledger accounts, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and performing financial analysis. This individual will play a crucial role in building a strong financial foundation for a rapidly growing company with a great mission. This individual will report to the Sr. Manager, Accounting and will collaborate with members of the Finance team and other business stakeholders. This is a key role within the Accounting team and provides a great opportunity for professional growth.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes, including preparing analyses of financial information, preparing journal entries and maintaining supporting schedules
Conduct period-over-period variance analyses and provide clear, conclusive explanations for material fluctuations
Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations, including activity review and discrepancy resolution for key areas including prepaid, accrued marketing, general accrued expense accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy
Read and interpret contracts, legal documents, and other agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and assist in ongoing control documentation and development
Regularly collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to research, resolve and communicate findings on accounting-related questions regarding business transactions and other non-routine matters
Assist with continuous process improvement, including with the implementation and testing of new financial systems/software
Prepare supporting schedules for external auditors as part of their quarterly reviews or annual audit
Lead internal monthly financial reviews and address follow-up inquiries on a timely basis
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required
CPA license (or actively working towards one) is strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of related experience required, including 3 years with Big 4 public accounting or public company corporate accounting experience strongly preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to work under pressure and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment
Experience working with financial accounting software (e.g. NetSuite, FloQast) is a plus
Advanced understanding of internal control concepts
Excellent Excel and analytical skills, including vLookups, pivot tables, etc.
Business-minded with superb communication skills
Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-moving organization
