The Senior Financial Analyst role is a critical role supporting Financial Planning and Analysis. Activities will include maintenance of the Finance Planning and Forecasting Tool, Reporting & Analytics. This is a critical role requiring significant interaction with Finance peers and IT. The position reports to the Director of Corporate FP&A. Essential Job Responsibilities• Support FP&A team by maintaining the Financial Planning and Forecasting Tool.• Work with IT as appropriate to resolve issues and task automation.• Develop and implement a good cadence for tool maintenance and reporting activities.• Responsible for continuous improvement of analysis and reporting tools and processes to enhance accuracy and timeliness of output.• Support FP&A team with budgeting, forecasting and month end close processes.• Support the development of reports and tools as appropriate. • Perform ad hoc analytics and reporting as needed.• Develop and maintain a strong internal control environment.• Learn and use finance reporting and analytics tools as per business needs.• Partnering with IT on company data management initiatives • Partnering with Finance PMO on process automation and improvement initiatives• Support ad hoc analytics as requiredStandards of Performance:• Must demonstrate a superior knowledge of PC’s to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.• Strong accounting, analytical and process development skills with the ability to provide actionable recommendations.• Excellent analytical and modeling skills.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to work well with multifunctional groups/people and coordinate the completion of tasks.• Ability to handle unstructured situations and which require original and creative approaches.• Strong problem solving/decision making skill and sound judgment.• Professional demeanor and ability to manage confidential information.• Personal integrity and commitment to high moral standards and business ethics.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Masters in relevant field preferred.• Three to five years of financial planning and analysis and/or monthly close experience• Experience with ERP, Business Intelligence, Planning and Budgeting Applications• Experience with Oracle and Hyperion highly preferred• Data management experience preferred LOCATION: Position is based at our RDU site (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill- RTP area of NC) or remote within proximity to the RDU site.Extreme Networks, Inc.
