Job Description
The Sourcing Lead is responsible for the operational support of our more strategic procurement programs, delivering RFP management, negotiation and/or contracting delivery to our clients in support of our advanced Spend Insights or Sourcing Insights programs.
Responsibilities:
• Triage incoming requirements to determine the most appropriate engagement type.
• Define business requirements in coordination with end users, build Statements of Work (SOW) and associated resource assignments.
• Develop and manage sourcing strategy, in line with category plans.
• Build and manage RFPs to support end users’ engagement requirements.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and drive towards results.
• Coordinate with suppliers to gather required information, to include price, delivery schedules and key project terms.
• Manage client stakeholder relationships to drive satisfaction and achievement of objectives.
• Manage client expectations through timely feedback and proactive communication.
• Identify risk situations and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist in collection of data related to the performance of suppliers.
• Constant and professional interaction via email and phone with client, suppliers, and other partners.
• Leading internal teams to deliver results to client.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus on business, finance or supply chain management.
- 3 - 5 years of strategic sourcing and category management experience.
- Up to 5 years of procurement experience – specific to sourcing, negotiation, and/or category management experience.
- Consistently exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as demonstrated relationship building skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation and verbal skills while staying organized and managing time effectively.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, VMS and/or e-Procurement tools and PC skills and Source-to-Pay process lifecycle.
- Able to interpret procurement data and make high level recommendations.
- Fundamental change management competence and moderate negotiation skills.
- Ability to derive “data stories” from structured data elements to enable and drive decision making while maintaining a high level of service delivery.
- Accuracy and efficiency in high volume coordination activities.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills including strong data competency specific to spend analysis.
- Strong competency in change management principles and proven results in driving change and influencing detractors including risk identification and development of mitigation strategies.
- Financial results including but not limited to the development of cost savings approaches.
- SLAs, KPIs and other performance metrics, as well as development of reporting and analytics needed.
- Strong experience with procurement and/or sourcing processes, with a focus on indirect and services spend categories.
- Deep understanding of strategic sourcing and category management processes and their connection to broader procurement strategy.
