What You will Do:
The DPHM Advanced Military Engine Program (AMEP) Principal Systems Engineer will be responsible for development of the PHM Systems for military development engine programs. This includes requirement decomposition, validation, and verification at the sub-system level, advancing technologies for gas path diagnostics, and defining and executing the fault detection and isolation strategy. In this role, the DPHM AMEP Principal Systems Engineer will collaborate with a large cross-section of the P&W engineering and sustainment teams as well as customer counterparts to drive world class CBM. This position type is on-site and requires a security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet program and schedule commitments for Component Integrated Product Team
- PHM system and sub-system requirement decomposition, validation, and verification
- Support development, validation, and verification of on-board software for PHM functions
- Advance new technologies for sensors and algorithms for PHM/CBM
- Develop Algorithms to enable Condition Based Inspection (CBI)
- Mentoring early career engineers in systems engineering

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 8 years’ experience in engineering or an advanced degree and 5 years’ experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong foundation in systems engineering principles
- Knowledge of and exposure to aerospace control and diagnostic systems
- Experience in gas turbine engine subsystems and their architecture, performance, and analysis
- Proficiency in requirements management tools such as DOORs
- Proficiency in MBSE methodology and tools such as CAMEO
- Experience in coordinating with multiple organizations and operating in cross-functional IPTs
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA
- Basic familiarity with Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Strong ability to effectively communicate, lead, influence and coordinate across teams in strategic projects and initiatives
- Familiarity with modern data analysis, signal processing and AI/ML
- Experience in programing tools/languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, and Simulink,
- Proficiency with Microsoft O365 toolset
