We are seeking a motivated team player to join our growing Inland Marine team. Our National Builders Risk Program is part of the commercial small business marketplace. The ideal candidate would need to be able to be efficient and move quickly. The role can be based in Jacksonville, FL or hybrid/remote.
Senior Underwriter, Builders Risk & Inland Marine
We will count on you to:
Drive new business within both Builders Risk and the Contractors Equipment expansion to achieve budgeted goals.
Collaborate with Underwriting assistants and outsourced teams for account evaluation and rating. Position accounts effectively with carriers and brokers to meet retention, rate, and profit objectives.
Evaluate client exposure to loss and communicate risk eligibility and recommendations.
Negotiate final terms and leverage the Victor value proposition with brokers.
What you need to have:
BS/BA Degree or relevant work experience.
5+ years of Inland Marine Underwriting experience focused on Builders Risk & Contractors Equipment.
Strong analytical aptitude and critical thinking skills demonstrated through work assignments.
P&C license mandatory, or the ability to obtain one.
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and PAS/Underwriting systems.
